Prototype status
Last updated: 12 July 2026
This page states plainly where Tracefolio is, so nobody joins early access with the wrong impression.
What exists today
- A complete product design: information architecture, user flows, screen designs and copy guidelines.
- A desktop validation prototype (Tauri 2) that demonstrates the planned workflow using fictional, in-memory sample data. It does not save changes and does not read your files.
- Two hand-built sample evidence packs — an indie game and a commercial video — with matching sample export files.
- This website and an early-access research form.
What does not exist yet
- A downloadable or purchasable product. Nothing is for sale.
- Real persistence, file scanning, imports or export generation.
- Accounts, cloud services, sync or any production backend.
- Final pricing. The amounts shown are research assumptions.
What early access is for
The current goal is validation: understanding how creative professionals track asset sources, licences and receipts, and whether Tracefolio is worth building. Early-access registrations feed that research and, if the product proceeds, form the first invite list. Joining does not purchase anything.
Honest boundaries
Tracefolio organises evidence. It will not interpret licence terms, provide legal advice or declare any asset use lawful — at this stage or after release. Its vocabulary is deliberately factual: evidence recorded, missing source, missing licence, missing evidence, attribution required, manual review required.
